Lamest Post. Ever.
Yeah so the last post I tried sucked so bad I deleted it.
This blog is pre-meditated and should be better than the last few since it was written in my notebook and has been edited and re-written and all that stuff. by the way, i know how to capitolize correctly, it's just that i don't care.
I've started watching Fox News lately, which is weird because I hate the news, since they never seem to talk about anything good...
But they do have some filler stories every now and then when there's nothing blatantly negative they can report about. Today, inbetween reports on the execution of a crime lord and anti-muslim protests in Australia, they did a little spill on Facebook. Their take on Facebook was, as always with the media, somewhat accurate, but mostly exaggerated details about it to make it a better story. They want to show it as a threat to the safety of America's sons and daughters and show that evil stalkers are going to use facebook to track every last one of us down and rape us. But that's the beauty about Facebook. It is invite-only which makes it considerably harder for an outsider to gain access to someone's information and it will not show just anyone someone else's information (as the media proclaimed) unless that person recognizes them as their friend. So if you are stupid enough to let anyone see your information, then that's just darwinism in action. The main flaw in the system are the 13 year old girls (and some guys) that "collect" members of the opposite sex that they think are "hott." In other words it hurts the system when little girls/boys with too much free time go around adding every guy/girl that doesn't have glasses, acne, or other blatant aesthetic flaws. there. I'm glad i got that out.
Can you be consumed with apathy? You can be consumed with anger, filled with jealousy, seething with hatred, but it goes against common sense to be [insert verb here] with apathy. It's apathy... it just sits there and ignores you because it doesn't care. I should name my cat apathy. You could be inert with apathy... maybe.
Wouldn't it be awesome if we came to school tomorrow and Mr. Murray told us we didn't have to take exams? If he ever wanted a few hundred christmas presents, that's the way to do it.
I was listening to Christmas music the other day, and noticed how these songs have remarkably little to do with that whole "Jesus the Christ was born" thing. It's gotten so carried away into Christmas trees and reindeer and fruitcake and eggnog (not complaining about that one) and dumb movies with that home-improvement guy... I wouldn't be surprised to see a nativity scene with Santa Claus bringing baby Jesus a big shiny present. Most nativity scenes are already politically incorrect, because they depict the wise men bringing baby jesus gifts on the night he was born, which totally didn't happen - it was a few years later when they actually came.
Ever notice that no one ever seems to write new Christmas songs? it's always the same ones over and over covered by whoever seems to be popular that year. Songs that never get replaced like "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" "Jingle Bells" "Noel" "Baby Got Back" "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" "Highway to Hell" "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire" "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" "Smells Like Teen Spirit" "Silent Night" "Away in a Manger"... you get the picture.
This is a completely unrelated right-hand turn at 60mph kind of change in subject: I was driving through Arrowhead last Sunday to drop my little sister off at her friend's house, and on the way out, i took a left where i should've taken a right and got lost. I couldn't help but notice how silly it seemed that these people (predominately old white ones) lived on streets that bore the names of past indian tribes and leaders like Tecumseh Drive Tensaw Street Iroqouis Way and Choctaw Street... i hope I'm not the only one who thinks that's kind of strange. I doubt the indians have named streets on their reservations after white people.. just think: Honky Way, Whitey Drive, Caucasian Avenue... use your imagination.
Fox was just talking about statutory rape and who's allowed to have sex with who. The age limit for fornication is apparently (i didn't know this) somewhere around 16-18 depending on what state you live in. Remember that really good-looking teacher down in Florida that got caught in an affair with a 16 year old student? they said she got off way too easy. Bill O-Reilly asked someone why she got treated more leniently than a man would have if he had been in an affair with a 16 year old girl. that's kind of a gimme, but what if it was a man having an affair with a 16 year old boy? our country is definitely unfair when it comes to things like that. not only do we discriminate against sexes and sexual orientation, but had the teacher been a butch instead of an incredibly attractive woman, she would have been hung out to dry by the press instead of covered the way she was. so now we discriminate against ugly people. wow. but what do you expect in a society where cosmopolitan tells you what you should look like and we have diseases in which people starve themselves with plenty of food around? not down on anorexia or anything, because that is a real problem, but it goes to show you how superficial our society is.

dang boy...that was long, and it went all over the place, i'm sure mrs mcintyre would be proud...emma
Interesting blog. You might be able to be seated with apathy. I think that you are right about the discrimination thing, but i don't think it's wrong to discriminate... otherwise we couldn't tell anyone what they were doing is wrong... it's wrong to discriminate unequally. Like to tell one person doing something is wrong and another person it's not. What do you think about that?
I find it even more ironic how people have the nerve to state that wishing someone a "Merry Christmas" is offensive; first of all: Happy Hanukah! Are you offended? Second of all: Christmas is not generally about Jesus in this country anymore. Athiests can easily celebrate Christmas in America.
Society is rediculous. If only people could see the effects of what they put in the media... or if they already see it, if only they cared.
wtf? and i thought i was random. but deep, and ur paying attention to ur world. very wise.
ur crazy too, btw.
This is a great blog. There's so many blogs around and most are pretty dull, but not this one.
I really like the plain, honest writing. Most people try to immitate other people which always fails.
One suggestion. How about some photos? All you need is a cheap digital camera ($25) and you can upload them to a free photo hosting service like photobucket and link them to your blog.
The photos don't have to be directly related to the post. It adds a whole new dimension to a blog.
I also find that pictures can inspire one's writing and make it easier write posts.
Just a thought. Great work.
In Australia it's awful at the moment. People are complaining that Christians have trees up, and shouldn't be celebrating Christmas. If you can find another holiday that majority of the nation celebrates and brings people together, even though they may be of different religions, and can help companies over commericalise a religious holiday, please tell us and we'll celebrate that instead.
Thanks for commenting on my blog...
